Billing — subscription, invoices, payment method

This is where your subscription lives. The Billing page shows your current plan, the next billing date, your payment method, your invoice history, and the buttons to update card, cancel, or resume. The actual edit flows hop into the Stripe customer portal — we don't host card forms ourselves.

Pricing on Wilow is sales-led — there's no public tier ladder. Your workspace is on whatever plan we agreed to when you signed up.

What you see on this page

  • Subscription statustrialing, active, canceled, unpaid, etc. Trial accounts get a banner showing days remaining; unpaid accounts get a stern banner asking you to update the card.
  • Plan — the one we set up for you. Includes your message cap, message overage rate, and which features are on.
  • Next billing date — when the next invoice is generated and the card is charged.
  • Payment method — the last 4 of the card we have on file. Update card opens the Stripe portal.
  • Usage this period — a progress bar against your message cap. Detailed usage breakdown is on the usage page; the overage cap and budget-stop lever are on usage limits.
  • Invoices — every past invoice as a downloadable PDF. Audited copy lives in Stripe; we mirror the list here so you don't have to log in twice.

Cancel your subscription

Cancel subscription stops the auto-renew. Your workspace keeps working until the end of the current billing period; you'll see "Cancels on <date>" until then. After the period ends, the workspace flips to canceled and the widget stops serving.

To resume before the period ends: Resume subscription, same page. After the period actually ends, you'd need to start a new subscription — talk to us.

If you want to delete the workspace (purge data), do that after canceling — see account privacy. Deletion doesn't cancel the Stripe subscription on its own.

What does "overage" mean?

Your plan includes a message cap per billing period. Past the cap, two things can happen depending on your usage limits configuration:

  • Budget-stop on — when you hit the cap, Wilow stops serving new conversations until the period rolls over. No charge.
  • Budget-stop off — extra messages bill at your plan's per-message overage rate. The hard cap setting on that page is the most you'd pay; we won't run past it even if traffic keeps coming.

The Usage page shows live overage projections so you don't get surprised.

See usage and quotas and usage limits for the controls.

Invoices and receipts

Every charge generates a PDF invoice, available on this page and emailed to your account email. The list includes the invoice date, period, amount, and a download link. We don't support customising the invoice format — if you need a different VAT number on it, talk to us.

Trial vs paid

While you're on trial, the page reframes — usage is presented as "evaluation against your plan", not a charge-able overage. You won't be billed during trial; the trial expires on a fixed date shown in the trial banner, and we'll have nudged you about it at least once before that happens.

After the trial ends, you'll be auto-converted to the agreed plan and the first invoice comes due on the conversion date.

Common questions

  • Where are my invoices? Billing page, Invoices section. Each row has a download link.
  • How do I update my card? Update payment method. Opens the Stripe portal in a new tab.
  • How do I cancel? Cancel subscription. Keeps working until the period end; resumable before then.
  • What if I just want to pause? Cancel — your workspace keeps running for the rest of the current period. After it ends, talk to us before you blow away the data.
  • My card was declined — what now? The status will be unpaid. Update the card; Stripe retries automatically on a schedule. You can also manually retry in the Stripe portal.
  • Will I be charged extra if I go over my cap? Depends on budget-stop. With it on, no. With it off, yes — up to your hard cap. See usage limits.
  • Can someone else manage billing without seeing the rest of the admin? Yes — invite them on the team page with Manage billing checked and nothing else.
  • Where's the VAT? Stripe applies it based on your billing address if applicable; the invoice line breaks it out.
