Account — company name, email, and tenant ID
The Account page is the smallest possible profile: your company name, the contact email we use for all our outbound (billing, security, the occasional product note), and your tenant ID — the opaque string support asks for when you file a ticket.
Where to find it
Admin → Account → Account. It's the top entry in the Account group of the sidebar, right under the workspace switcher.
What you can change here
- Company name — appears on your invoices and in the admin header. No effect on the widget; that's Widget → Appearance.
- Account email — where billing receipts, security notices, and rare product announcements go. Changing it requires confirming your current password, and the new address only takes effect after you click the confirmation link we email to the new address. Existing logins keep using the old address until the link is clicked.
- Tenant ID (read-only) — your stable workspace identifier. Copy it into support tickets, webhook headers we sign, and anywhere else we ask "what's your tenant".
How to update
- Edit the fields you want to change. The dirty-bar at the bottom of the page shows pending changes — no need to hunt for a Save button.
- Save. For email changes, you'll be asked for your password first, then to confirm by clicking the link in the new address's inbox.
- Discard if you change your mind before saving.
Account email vs handoff email vs notifications
Three different addresses, often conflated:
- Account email — this page. The contact address for the workspace. Receipts, security, account recovery.
- Handoff email — Widget → Handoff. Where escalated conversation transcripts get delivered when a visitor asks for a human. See handoff.
- Notifications — Account → Notifications. Per-member alerts: new leads, weekly digests, billing thresholds. See notifications.
Set them all if you want, but they don't have to be the same address.
Common questions
- Where is my tenant ID? Account → Account. It's the read-only field labelled "Tenant ID".
- I changed the email and nothing happened. Email changes are two-step — check the new address's inbox for a confirmation link.
- How do I rename the workspace? Edit Company name here. The widget bot name is a different setting in Widget → Appearance.
- Can I have multiple workspaces under one login? Yes — your login shows a workspace switcher at the top-left of the admin when you belong to more than one. Each workspace is independent.
- How do I add other people to this workspace? See team.
- How do I delete the account? See account privacy — deletion lives there because it's a privacy/GDPR concern.
